Quick unfinished sprite mess-about at 2am. Productivity is being forced this month, got slack again, can’t be doin’ that mannn.
More playing with isometric pixel art, enjoying it but still super basic stuff.
Never really tried ISO. Setting up some basic blocks first and then fixing them up/going to prototype something small.
Got bored last night/thismorning while waiting for my partner to get back from her flight. Did this in bed as a result.
Added some more lighting to the test room, a player sprite based off an abandoned project from last month and animated the lavas lighting to pulse a little bit.
Sprites are from metroid games, going to make my own tilesets/sprites when I’m done getting the general skeleton done.
First finished muck about with hexels and its trixels feature, pretty fun.
So the day that was meant to be day 3 was a total day off and it was pretty great. Instead today was day 3 and I got a good deal of what I wanted done, still not sure if the game’s going to be much fun but I’m happy with what I’ve learned from it and the art style was fun to work with.
